Ryan & Laura met on a hot summer day in 2009. They spent the day on the lake celebrating the birthday of a mutual friend, Bill Smith, Ryan's coworker and the husband of Laura's dear friend (and matron of honor), Angie. The more Ryan and Laura talked, the more they realized a wonderful new adventure was beginning.

During a romantic trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Ryan & Laura spent a wonderful evening at the Butchart Gardens. Ryan chose the time between dinner and fireworks in the sunken gardens to propose, and Laura tearfully accepted. Since that time much talk and thought has been around the impending marriage and creating a worthy celebration with family and friends.
